Community Connection
In May, AIMC Austin was proud to attend and table at the 4th Annual Austin AAPI Professional Summit. As a graduate college rooted in holistic healing traditions that originate within Asian culture, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, and mind-body practices, we attended this year’s gathering, Moving Forward Together, to gain deeper insight into the specific wellness needs and challenges facing our local AAPI community, as well as to build authentic, cross-industry partnerships with other AAPI-led organizations, nonprofits, and professionals.

By attending the summit, we listened and learned from the authentic dialogues and working groups addressing issues that impact our community. Most importantly, we were able to connect with the community—bridging the gap between integrative medicine and everyday life. Whether attendees were practitioners seeking collaboration, individuals navigating health challenges, or simply people looking for quiet, resource-based connection, our table offered a space to share how acupuncture and integrative medicine can support resilience, mental health, and collective care in a climate of uncertainty.
We left feeling energized and deeply grateful for the connections made.

Being of Service
In June, we've been meeting our neighbors, offering free blood pressure checks!
May was Heart and Stroke Awareness month and with so many impacted by cardiovascular disease and stroke every year, we wanted to kick off the summer by putting our physical assessment knowledge to good use.
All in all, it's been an amazing closing to the spring and start to the summer, filled with joy, community, gratitude and service!
