Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal civil-rights law that prohibits sex discrimination—including pregnancy and related conditions, sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, stalking, and retaliation—in education programs and activities. The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) strengthens these protections by requiring prevention education and fair, prompt processes for addressing reports. AIMC complies with Title IX and VAWA and provides supportive measures and an equitable grievance process for all parties.
Submit a 24/7 online incident report to notify AIMC of sex-based discrimination or harassment (including sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, or stalking). Reports go to the Title IX Coordinator for triage; submitting a report does not automatically start a formal grievance, and supportive measures are available with or without a complaint. AIMC safeguards privacy to the greatest extent possible and prohibits retaliation; see the Catalog for procedures and options.
