Everything is Possible in Community
Student Success
Let's talk about how we're doing at building community and delivering excellence in education.

AIMC students consistently perform well on the California Acupuncture Licensing Exam (CALE). From January 2020 to June 2024, AIMC achieved a first-time pass rate of 80.6%, placing the college among the top-performing acupuncture programs in the state. This success reflects the strength of our clinical training, academic rigor, and commitment to preparing practice-ready graduates.

AIMC maintains a low student-to-faculty ratio, allowing for close mentorship, individualized instruction, and meaningful engagement in both classroom and clinical settings. Our small class sizes and hands-on learning environment ensure that each student receives the support and guidance they need to thrive.
Student-to-Faculty Ratio: Approximately 10:1

Alumni report that they feel very well prepared for their profession. For example, 65% of alumni are working as practitioners compared to 50% for all acupuncturists. AIMC Berkeley grads are working as sole practitioners, as staff in private practices, in community acupuncture clinics, acupuncture schools and hospitals.
Growth
Having two locations, each with its own distinct group of staff and campus culture, creates dual venues for innovation and fresh approaches. These locations support and enhance each other, demonstrating that we are truly better together. Looking ahead, there are exciting new opportunities. Organizing our work around our core values and expanding alumni outreach are just a few of the significant ways AIMC has changed. Some opportunities are more measurement focused. As previously mentioned, our students have primarily taken the CALE exam. With our expansion to a new location outside of California, more students will now be taking the NCCAOM board exams. This will offer an additional benchmark for assessing future success. Expanding AIMC makes us more comprehensive and whole.
