Pediatric Acupuncturist

Dr. Villanueva works as a Pediatric Acupuncturist in the outpatient Primary Care, Hematology/Oncology floor, & Complex Care Clinic at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. The focus of her Doctorate of Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine (DAIM) dissertation was on best practices for bringing Chinese medicine to urban School Based Health Centers.

She had first hand experience as a patient of needing the synchronicity of multiple modalities on her healing journey. She founded Tongbu Wellness center to offer the best of all modalities under one roof.

Founder of Herb Folk Shop

Erin is an Asian American herbalist & Japanese acupuncturist and founder of Herb Folk Shop. Her practice and storefront are rooted in community care & accessibility. She carries thoughtfully sourced herbal medicines & offers community classes to empower her patients and community.

Haro Ogawa, LAc.

Acupuncturist to the San Francisco Giants

Mr. Ogawa is the Team Acupuncturist & Massage Therapist for the world-series winning San Francisco Giants. He has an extensive sports medicine background and many years of professional experience working with multiple Japanese baseball, NBA, and NASCAR athletes. He also sits on the AIMC Board of Directors.

Donna Chang is the founder of Alameda Community Acupuncture. She is passionate about making natural health care widely accessible and building community. By providing care to multiple patients in a shared space, community clinics lower the cost of treatment and allow for greater access to care.

Stephen Davis is a local native of the Bay Area where he practices Eastern medicine and is the owner of Hara Wellness in Oakland CA. He was inspired to create Hara Wellness as it connects many aspects of his lifelong study along the path of the warrior healer and his belief that everyone has a right to good health.

Founder of Kin Medicine

Jessica Golden is an acupuncturist, herbalist, clinical hypnotherapist, and sex, love, and relationship coach. With a background in journalism, Jessica knows the profound impact of storytelling on our bodies, minds, and spirits. Visualization and coaching are all part of Jessica’s work as a healer at Kin Medicine.

Students come to AIMC Berkeley from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds, and when they graduate they bring those unique backgrounds and skills to their careers as Acupuncturists. Some graduates choose to work closely within the Functional & Integrative Medicine settings while others pursue more creative private or community practices. Being exposed to a wide variety of Clinic Supervisors, off-site internship opportunities, and Alumni as guest lecturers or during community events, our students graduate with a strong sense of the possibilities for growth and development in the field of East Asian Medicine and having a career that aligns with their values and goals.
