Influential Point Speaker Series
AIMC students, alumni, faculty, & staff are invited to join us for Part I of Dr. Tamsin Lee, DA[o]M & the Influential Point’s virtual speaker series at AIMC Berkeley.
These workshops will explore the intersectionality of health justice & traditional medicine, specifically East Asian Medicine in the United States. There will be lecture on foundational topics including: culture, cultural appropriation versus appreciation, power, privilege, tokenism, the impacts of European colonization and the commodification of Chinese Medicine. In addition to this foundational lecture, these events will include experiential and discussion-based learning opportunities.
During this experiential, interactive workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn from Dr. Lee and have small group discussions on the topic. This first event will be an exploration of health justice in the East Asian medicine profession.
