About the Instructor:
John Ellis L.Ac., CMT, CPT, PN1, has an extensive background in acupuncture, orthopedics, tui na manual therapy, fitness, nutrition, and health coaching. During his time at ACTCM, he had the privilege of serving as an assistant instructor from 2003 to 2006 for multiple courses. He had the invaluable opportunity to intern under the mentorship of Rocky Wang, L.Ac. as well as become the lead Tui Na instructor at ACTCM after Rocky’s departure. His commitment to mastering acupuncture led him to undertake a rigorous 300-hour orthopedics training program at Cedars Sinai, expanding his knowledge in the treatment of musculoskeletal issues. In addition John is a certified personal trainer, having earned his certification in 2013 through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He furthered his qualifications by obtaining certifications in corrective fitness and fitness nutrition, also through NASM. John’s dedication to holistic health and wellness led him to become a Precision Nutrition Health Coach in 2020. Since 2004, John has operated a successful private practice, specializing in pain management and lifestyle medicine. His patient-centered approach has helped numerous individuals from all walks of life find relief from pain and achieve healthier lifestyles. In 2016, he expanded his horizons by joining the integrative medicine practice at Crossover Health located at Meta headquarters. In 2023, he became a professor in the AIMC Doctoral Program in Orthopedics.
