Join us for a 5 week course to examine the history & fundamental philosophy of East Asian Medicine.
What You’ll Learn
Explore the wisdom of diagnostic techniques like pulse taking & tongue diagnosis. Discover the fundamentals of Yin and Yang relationships, Five Element Theory (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), and the relationships between our mind, body, spirit and how we can apply them to everyday health and wellness.
Week 1: Philosophy & Theory
Week 2: The Branches of East Asian Medicine & the Water Element
Week 3: Pulse Diagnosis & the Wood Element
Week 4: Tongue Diagnosis & the Fire Element
Week 5: The Earth & Metal Elements
This course will provide an overview of the foundations of East Asian Medicine & will serve as a strong foundation for AIMC’s other community class offerings as well as joining the Masters or Doctorate programs.

About the Instructor
Ally Magill is an AIMC alumna with a background in birthwork as a labor and postpartum doula, outdoor education, and the management of thriving community acupuncture clinics. She studied Five Element Acupuncture at the Maryland University of Integrative Health before joining AIMC for the herbal & integrative medicine portion of her Master’s degree. She has had the opportunity to study the teachings of Daoist master Jeffrey Yuen through his students & incorporates Classical Chinese Medicine into her practice.
