ACAOM Grants Five Year Re-Accreditation to AIMC Berkeley

BERKELEY – The Acupuncture Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) has reaffirmed accreditation for the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College Berkeley (AIMC Berkeley) effective August 12, 2007 for a five year period expiring in August 2012. This is the maximum period that could be granted to AIMC Berkeley.

Skye Sturgeon, AIMC Berkeley president during the accreditation site visits said: "the entire College Community deserves congratulations for the extraordinary effort that was required to accomplish this phenomenal achievement.  We are now poised to continue the creation of one of the finest colleges of Oriental Medicine in the United States."

Former board member for AIMC Berkeley and incoming president, Bruce Robinson, MD (ret) said: "I know that all of us will utilize this strong vote of confidence and move forward with it, as we continue to build and expand this fine institution, which is emerging as a landmark college for integrative oriental medical training."
