QIGONG FOR BEGINNERS (Drop-in Class)

Qi emanates from handsMondays
from 5:00–6:00 p.m.
at AIMC Berkeley

Designed on a drop-in basis, this term we will be learning two Qi Gong forms:
Wild Goose and WuJi Gong

Classes are open to practitioners of all levels, and taught by Larry Spears.
Larry is an active member of the AIMC Berkeley Faculty, and has been
teaching Qi Gong and TCM Philosophy for the past five years here in
the Bay Area.

What is Qigong?
Qi (pronounced chee) gong (pronounced gung, as in lung) means “working with vital life energy”

Qigong is a powerful Chinese system of healing and energy

·          using gentle movement

·          breathing techniques

·         and meditation

·          to cleanse, strengthen and circulate life energy (qi)

Can you tell me more about qi?

·          We live in a field of qi, “vital breath” or “life energy”

·          Yet, like a fish in water or a bird in flight

·          We are often unaware of the medium that supports us

Who can benefit?

·          Suitable for young and old, practices can be tailored to individual needs

·          Qigong can be practiced from standing, seating or supine postures

·          Qigong practice can lead to better health and vitality, and a tranquil state of mind

·          Helping you to manage stress, or recover from illness or injury

Who is teaching?
Larry Spears teaches qigong classes throughout the Bay Area.  He has developed this Beginners’ Qigong Class structure, building each week on a drop-in basis.  Gentle yet effective movements and forms are developed each week, including WuJi Gong, or “Primordial Qigong”.

All of your learning in class can be immediately put to good use.

You don’t have to be a “black belt” in qigong to start your own practice!

Tuition: 4 weeks for $40 / Drop-in rate - $12
