The master of science program in Oriental Medicine at the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), which is the recognized accrediting agency for the approval of programs preparing acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners. ACAOM is located at 7501 Greenway Center Drive, Ste. 820, Greenbelt, MD 20770, 301/313-0855; fax 301/313-0912.

California Acupuncture Board

Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley is approved by the California Acupuncture Board. This approval qualifies AIMC Berkeley graduates to sit for the California Acupuncture Licensing Exam (CALE). California Acupuncturists are licensed under the State Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Medical Quality Assurance, Acupuncture Board, 1424 Howe Avenue, Suite 37, Sacramento, CA 95825-3233. BPPVE

The Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education became inoperative on July 1, 2007. As a result, AIMC Berkeley has entered into a voluntary agreement with the Director of the Department of Consumer Affairs. This agreement requires the College to comply with California statues, rules and regulations pertaining to private postsecondary educational institutions.
